This is the IP address of the person SENDING the fax.

In most cases the fax is forwarded immediately, however, some faxes may be delayed up to 2 hours. As this is a free service, we do not guarantee delivery see the privacy policy - link at bottom of page:

The fax is attempted up to 5 times within a 1 hour period, It will not re-try after 1 hour.

(8) After it's been received, does my fax message remain on your servers?

YES - pursuant to the privacy policy, faxes may be preserved up to 30 days to provide, if required by law, if so ordered. They are not used in any other manner.

Our FREE service uses the internet to transmit fax data (from your machine), we recommend that confidential/personal information (like social security and credit card numbers) NOT be transmitted.

(9) Do you send me automatic confirmation of receipt? Or must I follow-up?

We only provide a listing of faxes sent within the last 24 hours, you can find it at the "sent fax status log" tab. It indicates if successful or not and how many pages were sent.

(10) How long has the service been going and are there other free global services?

The service was lauched in November 2007 and is one of only 2 free global fax services. We plan to add 10 more (free fax) countries this summer (2009) in addition to the 40 already covered.

(11) Can I fax my elected representatives in Washington D.C. using this service?

NO. If you want to contact your elected representatives in Washington D.C., the best tool is using Congress.org. Elected representatives require detailed information regarding the sender in order to properly address the issues you are concerned about. Messages send from free services like this would not be in the required format and your comments will NOT be given any weight or consideration.

(12) How do I get a PIN, do I need to register?

The PIN is the 4-digit FreeCallPin number, which is displayed at the bottom of this page. You can also view the PIN at FreeCallPin.com.

(13) Someone is sending me unwanted faxes using your free service. What can I do?

Send us your fax number and we will block ALL faxes from our service.

(14) Is the service available 24 hours a day 365 days a week?

NO. You can send free faxes 365 days a year. The service operates for 18 hours each day. The service TURNS OFF from 12 midnight to 6am (Chicago USA time). During this time period for, 6 hours each day, no faxes can be sent and the status of faxes cannot be checked.

(15) What causes a fax number to be blocked?

Either the Fax number was blocked at the request of the fax owner OR Repeated faxes were placed to the same fax number (SPAMMING) within a short period of time. We reserve the right to limit the service as we choose to keep the service operational for others who respect this free unique service.

Test faxes are encouraged. Two test faxes to the same fax number is NOT considered spamming.

(16) I sent the fax several times, but it won't show up on the sent fax log. What's wrong??

After submitting your fax, you should see a confirmation page indicating the fax was sent and a control number assigned to the fax. If you do not see the confirmation page, the fax was NOT sent and you will see a red Error Message at the top of the page indicating the problem.

If you get a control number and your fax doesn't show up as sent after an hour,
send us an email and we will confirm what the problem is. You need to give us the control number assigned to the fax (OR) the fax number you sent it to. You need to allow us a few hours to reply as this is a FREE service!
